Professional Learning Facilitator

Design and facilitate learning experiences to help educators learn from their outcomes and from positive outliers. 

Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000/year
Position Type: Full time 
Location: Hybrid remote & regular travel within and beyond Florida

K12 Lift, an education data consulting firm based in historic downtown Deland, is seeking a Professional Learning Facilitator (PLF) to join their growing team.

The PLF will be responsible for design and execution of positive outlier learning experiences for district and school administrators, coaches and classroom teachers.

This position requires someone who enjoys facilitating learning among adults, is comfortable presenting to and leading group discussions, and is genuinely curious about how to help educators better understand the behaviors and beliefs of extraordinary teachers, teacher teams, and principals.

An ideal candidate will have K-12 public school teaching and academic coaching experience.

  • Reviewing data visuals to identify potential outlier schools and teachers (Skills: curiosity, data analysis, productive skepticism)

  • Initiating outreach to outliers to gauge interest in sharing with others (Skills: infectious optimism, communication, initiative)

  • Conducting field observations, interviews, and focus groups (Skills: noticing and wondering, questioning, listening)

  • Preparing summary reports with recommendations for next steps (Skills: compelling storytelling, technical writing)

  • Designing and carrying out activities that allow clients to experience the instructional practices of the positive outlier(s) and help them make meaning of the differences from their own practices (Skills: adult learning facilitation, creativity, time management, problem solving)

  • Compiling relevant artifacts to support the learning (Skills: organization, resourcefulness)

  • Capturing video and written vignettes of each positive outlier learning experience to share more broadly (Skills: storytelling, writing)
