Plan meetings and events, proofread & polish documents, create and refine organizational systems.

K12 Lift, an education data consulting firm based in historic downtown Deland, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their growing team. 

The Administrative Assistant will help the K12 Lift team stay organized, calm, and on track for fulfilling commitments to clients.  

This position requires someone who thinks ahead, enjoys problem solving, and is open to learning and growing as a professional.  

An ideal candidate will feel at home using Microsoft Office, can master the complexity of scheduling across multiple calendars and locations, and possesses strong communication skills with a heart for customer service.

  • Planning meetings and events, including booking travel (Skills: time management, thoughtfulness) 
  • Proofreading and quality controlfor electronic and printed data portfolios and other materials (Skills: copyediting, patience) 
  • Managing inventory and pricing/purchasing supplies (Skill: attention to detail, anticipation of need) 
  • Invoicing and tracking payments (Skills: basic math, not afraid to learn Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks) 
  • Maintaining client lists and support logs (Skills: diligence) 
  • Notetaking at meetings with clients and internal team to ensure discussion/decision points are documented and followed up on (Skills: listening, ability to summarize key ideas) 
  • Drafting communication with clients such as product updates, requests for information, and other announcements (Skills: writing, creativity) 
  • Promptly answeringinbound calls, voicemails and emails; taking and relaying messages; coordinating follow-up when necessary (Skills: warm, clear communication) 
  • Researchinganswers and solutions for clients and K12 Lift team upon request (Skills: curiosity, resourcefulness) 
  • Creating or refining systems as needed for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the team (Skills: problem solving, initiative) 
  • Determining the scope and needs for upcoming events by attending virtual meetings with clients and senior team members, then ensuring those needs are met 
  • Monitoring project plans and bringing potential issues to attention of relevant team members 
  • Creating and maintaining documentation as it relates to your role and responsibilities 
  • Monitoring K12 Lift social media accounts; preparing ideas for new posts 
  • Participating in team planning and ideation sessions 
  • Internal projects as required
